Ghosts of Christmases Past

How different would Christmas be if I wasn’t surrounded by family?

Opening packages would be such a bore,

If I wasn’t encircled by cousins galore.

Christmas chaos.

A lonely gal Christmas sock affair,

Instead of hanging stockings by the chimney with double the care.

All dressed up with nowhere to go,

Instead of trying to be one of the stars of the show.

Christmas pageants with one can be so annoying,

But with two, the show is much more enjoying.

Lonely lonely would Christmas celebrating be,

Without the decades of fun with family.

From past to present with futures near,

Hold those who are dear with your heart full of cheer,

Because you never know when they may not be here.

The CBXB scrapbook is quite precious. The piano shot is so you. All that is missing is your familiar jazz hands! Oh, that face should be pinched, just like the twinsies now.

The photos of your cousins and you are :) amazing and the almost last phrase made me touched because thinking about, you realize that you have to enjoy every minute you can with your dear, because you never know for how long you will have ………………………………………

Your little christmas dress looks like one my sister had.

This is so fun and touching, too! Just what Christmas is all about. Cute, cute photos (but I’m sure you already know that).

    • Thanks Molly! I wasn’t sure how cute my family would think me posting the pics would be…but I just couldn’t resist. :) Merry Christmas!

      • Molly says:

Ha! As someone who spent my morning frantically untagging myself in my dad’s latest batch of Facebook photos, I get what you’re saying. Oh well, embarrassing photos are part and parcel of the Christmas experience.

Love the pics…but I do not see any katz playing with tinsel or ribbons. Is Mr Ted your first venture into being a Kat Lady?
Happy Christmas and Merry New Year!

    • Mr. Ted isn’t the first furry love of my life (DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT tell him that). However, we always had outside cats until I was a little older than these pics – so I could scoop the pan. Responsibilities! Merry Christmas!
