Yeehaw to a New Year!

Adventures in dual driving on the short trip out to my parent’s house on Christmas Eve…

Ted is such a control freak he had to help steer, naturally.

Where were welcomed with holiday delight…

What makes our holidays go ’round

And played our favorite dice game of Left Right Center.

Ted’s thinks he’s my good luck charm.

But even with his help I was nothing but a winner in the cocktail department.

If you blow (or in my dad’s case spit) on the dice, it supposedly brings better luck (and disgusting game pieces), as he was the big winner.

We carefully selected cookies to leave for Santa (you know he only ate the pink ones).

Teddy had to be coaxed out of bed Christmas morning with a little Merry Christmas ribbon and promises of cat nip under the tree.

And I had to be coaxed out of my slumber with a mimosa, which took all of two seconds.

Ahh…Christmas mornings taste so good!

Of course all of the Christmas commotion was taking attention away from Ted, so he sat right in the middle of the unwrapping action.

Nestled all in his tissue heaven.

And then I had to try it too (although I looked like a fat, gigantic Christmas elf instead of a cute little fur ball).

Nice try. Should have had one less piece of fruit cake…

After all of that rolling around in the trash, I had to get ready to spend my New Year’s here:

Yes, I was a very good girl this year, indeed.

Miami…what a hard way to bring in the new year.
