Of course I have to get into the gaudy side of nails by splish splashing my love of America with an accompanying mani for the Fourth of July.
To achieve this look, I followed a base coat with Orly’s Star Spangled (fitting, yes?). After allowing the two coats of red to dry a few minutes, I applied Aruba Blue by Essie on the tips of my nails. With a quick swipe of Silver Plated by Salon Perfect (which I purchased at the Dollar Tree and can’t find a website to link here – probably because of where I bought it…) in between the red and blue and one brush of Seche Vite top coat, my patriotic mani was complete.
Be careful with the backyard fireworks (I’ll be watching someone else light the wicks and run for their life as my nails are jewels, not tools. OK?).
Here’s to a safe and happy Independence Day – accompanied with fabulous mani and Skinny Pirate, of course.

nice nails! They will also go very well with a can of Pepsi:)
I should have used a Pepsi can as my mani ‘background’. Thanks for the idea – I’ll be doing that next year!

I just looked up “snazzy” in the dictionary, and behold, there was a picture of your patriotic manicure!
I’m famous!!!! And I am happy to accept my picture next to the word “snazzy” as it’s one of my all time favorites to use!
As always, I LOVE your manis! This is superb. I love being festive. Kudos. 🙂
Thanks Girl! I always think I overdo it with the holiday inspired manis but I just can’t stop!

Thank For The DirectioNs I Will Try It When I Do My Toes Later…Haha! Happy FoUrth!
Let me know how the toes turned out!
I have realized I wear shoes not sandles (apparently I cannot spell either). But I could not find toe polish! Only finger nail polish…well I guess I can try next year! Do pirates paint their nails? Toes of their parrots? Happy post 4th week!
YES pirates paint their nails. Just look at Captain Jack Sparrow for inspiration!
