Roses are red, violets are blue,
Today is your birthday, Mom and here’s a poem for you.
Favorite pictures from the past are always a hoot,
This one is my favorite although I look like a goof.
Often times through the years we looked so cute,
But sometimes I see photos I wish we could color mute.
You’ve lead us through the sea of life,
Like a bright, shining, ray of light.
While two girls were just perfect for our close knit clan,
You were thrilled to add a son-in-law and then twins to the fam!
You’re a party girl at heart,
And everyone always wants you around when the fun starts.
You taught me the importance of good cheer
And how to dance with jazz hands showing no fear.
Some folks were jealous of me, having you as my mom
And I don’t blame them one bit because you’re the bomb!
So for some birthday fun, put your dancing shoes on
For tomorrow night we’re going downtown to fawn,
All over Bruno Mars as he sings us his songs!
Surprise!

We called my health insurance nurse’s triage line and the on-call doctor at my general practitioner’s office for advice. It was decided I could miserably wait until Monday to see my doctor. […]

OK now I feel really silly – I mean grow up well. Even though you know I meant it was a compliment I still feel dumb for the way I worded it. Argh! Most awkward compliment ever! 🙂 Glad you understood.
Girl! I took it as nothing but a compliment. No worries!
You’ve gotten more and more beautiful every year! So glad you have a great positive Mom to help you through life – what a gift!
I’m super lucky to have my mom. And thank you for the compliment…looking through the old pics, I think I could only get better. Why do we have such awkward stages as we grow up? 🙂
You were always supercute but some peoples baby faces don’t age well – yours did! You are beautiful. In all of my pictures growing up I’m popping in from the side and grinning from ear to ear, haha!
I love it! You were a happy kid! Thank you for the compliment. You just made my day.
So sweet! Happy belated birthday to your mom. Your mom is definitely the bomb!
Thanks Lady! My mom is all the way around fun and taught me how to have a great time no matter what. Very important!
Lucky mama!
