Rising up, back on the couch
Did my time, ate my cat food
Went the distance, now I’m back for a nap
Just a cat and his will to survive.
So many times, it happens too fast
I trade my napping for eating
Meowing my head off for a full bowl of food
I must fight just to keep my belly full
It’s the eye of the tiger
It’s the thrill of the my spite
Rising up to the challenge of the weekend
And the last known survivor
Cries for food late at night
Just to interrupt my mom’s beauty sleep…’cause I’m a tiger.
Face to face, comfy in A/C
Acting tough, always hungry
Staring Mom down ’til I get what I want
From a cat with mad skills to survive
It’s the eye of the tiger
It’s the thrill of my life
Rising up to the challenge of my weekend
Incessant meows, driving my mother to down yet another cocktail
Forgetting that she already fed me
And I’ll eat to my furry heart’s delight….
‘Cause I think I’m a tiger.
I’ve got the eye of the tiger…
And have Mom right where I want her…

Ted is the master. The rest of us are his hired help!
You are SO right about that!
Awwww that last picture of Ted is so cute!
I’ll tell him you said so (but we all know he already thinks he’s so cute)!
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t give this a standing ovation when I finished reading/singing along.
Bravo!
It’s my first standing o! Ted will be pumped to know he was the inspiration behind it. Thank you!
Hhhmmm, are you talking about my kitties. TB is adorable.
I was singing directly to your kitties – and to TB of course!
🙂
Love it!
“Forgetting that she already fed me” is probably the best line (there were some close runners up)

Of course your little tiger dines out of neon pink and green margarita glasses!
Of course! He insists. Now he’s moved on to scary Halloween martini glasses. Such a diva cat!
Better than the original! You should be a pet commercial jingle writer, seriously 😉
Have a fab weekend!
Now you’re talking! If I write pet jingles, I will requite that Ted be in the commercials. Can you please style my famous kit cat?
You crack me up, you are too funny! Sure you don’t want to go in to stand up comedy????
So happy to make you giggle! As for stand up comedy…I could never take the tomatoes being thrown at me on stage!
I am in love. He is amazing.
Oh Susie thank you! Ted just loves hearing from his adoring fans! And being that he is a cat, he thinks he’s pretty amazing too. 🙂
