Hallow-Mani

Naturally.

Known for being anything but subtle, I chose coordinating holiday colors for my Hallow-mani.

Forget the ghosts.

Who doesn’t match their mani to their decor?

After applying a base coat, I doubled up on Sally Hansen’s pumpkin hued polish in Crushed. Letting that dry a few minutes, I followed with a swipe of Orly’s GOTH on the tips of my talons and with a slightly steady hand (I like to have two glasses of wine before attempting this step) I glided Salon Perfect nail art in Silver Plated between the black and orange colors.

Just sipping on the blood of my enemies.

No matter what mani I’ve just completed, I always use Seche Vite Dry Fast topcoat. Always.

Terrifying trio.

Terrifying trio.

Always keeping it cool because that’s what a self-appointed Queen of Halloween would do, right?

I vant to suck your blood. Well, really I don’t because it might ruin my nails.

Happy haunting.

Curiosity almost killed New Cat (by yours truly), as he risked one of his nine lives to photo bomb my set-up.

Actually this little shit was more terrifying as I thought his tail was going to knock every knick knack over in sight.

My little shit taking my less than professional photo shoot down 14 notches.

But I kept my cool because that’s what a self-appointed Queen of Halloween would do, right?

Afterall, the Queen of Halloween. Naturally.

Naturally.

Happy haunting.

Fairy God-Mani

You know I take being a (fairy) Godmother very seriously. And it took great consideration to decide how to paint my nails for my niece and nephew’s baptism this past weekend.

blah

Matching a mani to a god-daughter’s outfit.

I decided to go with a bright pink base (for little diva B) accompanied by gray tips (for the all boy B).

blah

Perfect accessory for camo pants and a baby belly, don’t you think?

After applying a base, I painted two coats of Orly’s Oh Cabana Boy and let dry for about three minutes. Then I used one swipe of Orly’s fabulously sparkly Rock Solid on the tips, followed by Seche Vite top coat for completion.

blah

Mani-Twins

Little diva B was so engaged with my mani, she couldn’t let go of my finger (well, actually she got grabby with my bling bling diamond pinky ring – who can blame her?!).

Wouldn't let go probably not because she loved the mani but fell in love with my bling blibg pinky ring

A lover of all things sparkly already! Following in Godmother CBXB’s footsteps…look out.

It’s never too early to learn that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, right?

She’s learning from a pro.

Merry Martini Mani

In celebration of the Christmas…

Red nails, gold tips

Red nails, gold sparkle tips

blah

Matching stemware with a manicure is so popular (with me) right now.

blah

Two coats of OPI’s Dear Santa red  hue for the base, followed by two thin coats of OPI’s Glow Up Already for the tips.

If gold sparkle is a little to flashy, what about a more traditional Christmas nail (although it’s still a very loud color combo)?

A red with a green tip

Red nails, green tips matches the strawberry in my martini. Obnoxious, yes but I don’t care!

Red and green

Apply two coats of Orly’s Star Spangled followed by one thick coat of Nicole’s Fell From the Tree on the tips.

And now you’re fabulously set for the many martinis Christmas requires one drink.

Very Merry Mani

One of my blogging besties at work/play/polish inspired my color on color mani and I dressed up my Elvis attire at last weekend’s party with this look.

A little red on red

A little red on red to spread good cheer.

After applying my base coat, I painted two coats of Essie’s E! Live from the Red Carpet.  Once that was dry, I used one thick coat of Orly’s Star Spangled on the tips (with a steady hand. Use polish strips if you need – only when the two base coats are completely dry though!). Topped off with a coat of Seche Vite, my favorite top coat ever.

Making sequins look good.

A standout against silver sequins.

A very merry mani, indeed!
